Pay to Particpate
Most music classes have some participation costs due at the beginning of the year or semester to cover the expense of materials. Check specific course descriptions for pertinent amounts.
For the most part, pay to participate amounts are nominal, and range from “$6 for beginning method books, to $70 for steel drum classes. The exception is Marching Band, with pay to participate costs of $300 - $450, to cover the expense of placing a competition show on the field, and travelling to contests.
Many of the expenses inherent in operating a high quality music program, are supplemented by our Music Boosters parent group (WHIP), and through generous support from the WHHS Alumni Foundation.
