REPORTING STUDENT ABSENCES

You can now EMAIL or CALL to report your student’s attendance.

Email: whhsattendance@gmail.com

Include student’s name and grade level in subject line of email. Provide the reason for absence and parent/guardian phone number for verification purposes.  Doctor/Dentist/Therapy notes can be sent to this email address or faxed to 363-8420.

Be sure to provide the reason for tardiness.  If coming from a medical/dental/therapy appointment, a doctor/provider excuse can be sent to our email: whhsattendance@gmail.com or fax 363-8420.

Q: What do I do if my student needs to leave class early?

Q: What do I do if my student is having technical difficulties and misses class?

A: Notify your student’s teacher and Call or Email the Attendance Office

At the first sign of trouble, students should check their teacher’s Schoology page for any updates. Next, message the teacher regarding the issue. If they miss the entire class, notify the attendance office.

Q: What do I do if my student will miss school due to a planned absence?

A: Notify your student’s teachers and Call or Email the Attendance Office

If you plan for your student to be absent, please contact teachers and the Attendance office three days prior to the absent date.  Please provide the reason and dates of the absence.

*Please note CPS and the State of Ohio does not recognize “family emergencies” or “family events” as an excused reason for absence.  More detail will need to be provided to determine if the absence is excused or not.
