Biography
After a brief stint in graphic design and animation, Aaron Cucchetti began teaching in 1998 and joined the Walnut Hills High School Art Department in 2014. He earned a BFA in painting from the University of Cincinnati (DAAP) and his MA from NKU. Over the course of the past 3 decades Mr. Cucchetti has taught, coached, and mentored an array of age groups in a variety of venues.
Beyond teaching Mr. Cucchetti has also exhibited/sold his own work, (in a wide range of media from drawing/painting to digital to sculpture and installation), regionally. In 2006 he worked closely with Pat Renick to help prepare the 20th International Sculpture Conference: Crossroads Cincinnati.
Mr. Cucchetti ‘s schedule varies based upon the needs of the school and students. Over the course of his career he has taught everything from Jr. High to AP. Regardless of the course, his approach remains the same. He creates a welcoming student centered studio where he encourages students to grow through project based learning following a Disciple Based Art Education (DBAE) format.
