Academic Support Team

The Academic Support Team at Walnut Hill's High School is dedicated to maintaining/protecting the mission/vision of Walnut Hills High School relative to all accommodation plans/requests. We also have developed and implement several avenues of support for our identified and non identified students. The Academic Support Team tasks include:
- Write, distribute, implement, and evaluate IEPs
- Support identified and struggling students during their study halls.
- Classroom observations and reports to parents
- Coordinate IAT for determination of possible interventions/plan eligibility.
- Write, distribute, oversee 504s and Medical Plans
- Classroom exam and test accommodations
- State and national testing accommodations
- ACT, College Board (SAT, PSAT, AP) accommodation requests
- Weekly Academic Coaching
- Consult/advise classroom teacher relative to identified/struggling students.
