Layers of the WHHS Experience.
DONATE TO THE 2026 WHHS ALUMNI FOUNDATION ANNUAL FUND
Dear Walnut Hills Alumni,
The Walnut Hills Experience has never been defined by a single factor. It is a layered journey—a blend of academic challenge, creativity, leadership, and community that continues to shape lives long after graduation.
At its core lies our enduring classical liberal arts foundation, teaching students not only what to think, but how to think. This education—broad, balanced, and rooted in inquiry—encourages students to make connections across disciplines, seeing how literature, science, history, and the arts inform one another. In an ever-changing world, this cross-disciplinary mindset builds adaptability, problem-solving ability, and communication skills that remain valuable for life.
Building upon that foundation, Walnut Hills offers an extraordinary depth of curriculum, including 35 Advanced Placement courses across every major discipline. These courses challenge students to explore their interests with rigor and depth, preparing them for success at the most competitive colleges and universities.
Learning at Walnut Hills extends far beyond the classroom. Whether on stage, in the studio, on the field, or through one of our many clubs and extracurricular programs, students are encouraged to discover their passions, lead with purpose, and collaborate with others. Each experience adds another layer to the vibrant and dynamic Walnut Hills education.
None of this would be possible without the ongoing support of our alumni community. Your generosity sustains academic and extracurricular programs, enhances facilities, and expands opportunities for our students. Just as importantly, your mentorship and example remind them that they are part of something larger—a proud tradition of excellence, curiosity, and service.
Together, we continue to ensure that the Walnut Hills Experience remains as transformative as ever—one that challenges, inspires, and prepares students to Rise to the Highest.
Sursum ad Summum,
Debbie Heldman
